This contains the last four levels from R-Type and fortunately allows a code from the first game to be input so you don’t start with nothing. The game as a whole is a classic, but stages 5-8 are not nearly as interesting as the first four and the appeal will wane very fast.

GRAPHICS: As good as R-Type I (including more flicker), but less interesting in these levels.

SOUND: Still great, but the tunes here are not as good as the first levels.
