Another quality shoot em up in Hudson’s Soldier series. This time round, you can set up different style of weapon at the beginning (if your preference is for homing missile instead of forward-firing, for example) while weapons are changed throughout the game with the usual coloured pick-ups. Levels are lengthy enough to get your teeth into and it will take the the best part of an evening to get through it. After so many other shooters, it is lacking a little in originality and this brings down the fun factor a bit, but it’s still a great blast.

GRAPHICS: Fast, smooth and well drawn. Levels are a little repetitive though.

SOUND: Some really nice tunes, although not in the same league as Super Star Soldier. A bit of speech.
